Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has been created for an Electrical or Mechanical Technical Advisor to join a global leader in tracking system solutions, as they build out their capability in the Australian  solar market.

The Technical Advisor's goal is to facilitate a positive experience with the client. He/she ensures that the product and Installation out-perform customer expectations and are of the highest quality possible. This individual will develop customer loyalty by optimizing the tracker system to the customer's needs and provide outstanding technical support services onsite and the tools for a succesful build.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support for this organisation’s customers across Australia, ensuring a best in class customer experience; providing product and systems expertise to the customer.
  • Translate and interpret construction plans, manuals, product change notifications and other documents needed to support construction and installation onsite.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with PM, and Customer PM, Construction Manager, Site Supervisor, Quality team and other customer staff
  • Work with Project Managers to develop accurate construction schedule forecasts and to create daily reports to track construction progress, material deliveries, installation issues, and others site activity.
  • Conduct systematic QA inspections of piling and tracker construction in accordance with QA process, tracking, reporting and closing out all deviations via Construction Deviation Report process.
  • Liaise between the client, PM and quality teams to report and resolve any product quality issues via NCR and RMA processes.
  • Work with the client to assess readiness for commissioning via Pre-Commissioning processes, and coordinate Commissioning process with the PM and Commissioning Manager
 
Due to border restrictions, this position is open to qualifided individuals within Western Australia, Northern Territory or South Australia.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5 Years construction industry experience, at least 2 at supervisory level (flexible)
  • A good working understanding of Australian WHS regulations, especially regarding the construction industry
  • Construction industry induction (white card)
  • First aid certification
  • Proficient with general construction tools and techniques (laser levels, hand tools, air and pneumatic tools, torqueing, quality assurance etc)
  • Detail oriented, with good basic mathematical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently, along with the strong desire and ability to promote teamwork and achieving team goals
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong customer relationships
