An exciting opportunity has been created for a Solar Maintenance Technician to join a global leader in solar energy solutions as they build and develop their capability in the Australian utility scale solar market.

This Solar Maintenance Technician will be a site-based role in regional areas and will be conducting on site remediation and maintenance of next generation solar tracking systems. You will be providing maintenance and remediation support to both the ongoing projects and existing solar farms. This position will require a high level of hands on mechanical aptitude.

  • You’ll be required to use a variety of tools (both hand and power) including torque wrench, grease guns, drills and compressors/generators
  • Following appropriate training, you will be responsible for the identification and rectification of minor maintenance issues
  • Installing and assembling replacement gaskets, drives and other components
  • Daily progress report writing

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate that you can be organised and effective in high pressure environments with minimal supervision. You’ll be comfortable working in regional areas and carrying out repetitive work.

  • Current and valid White Card
  • Previous mechanical or electrical trade experience
  • Certified First Aid Training
  • Experience in solar farms construction and maintenance would be beneficial but not essential
  • Right to live and work in Australia is essential
